AUFEMININ TRUSTS BSO WITH ITS CRITICAL NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE AND HOSTED DATA

Founded in 1999 by Anne-Sophie Pastel, Marc-Antoine Dubanton and Cyril Vermeulen, Aufeminin quickly became one of the world’s leading digital content groups dedicated to women. Covering a range of topics – from fashion and family to news and social issues – Aufeminin’s content is available in 21 countries.

The group includes a number of well-known brands, such as Aufeminin.com, Marmiton and MyLittleParis in France as well as Netmums UK, enfemenino in Spain and Onmeda in Germany. In total, the group now reaches 132 million unique visitors per month and counts more than 7 million followers on the social networks.

OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES

2015 marked a year of change for Aufeminin. The group acquired Livingly Media – one of the leading digital publishers of lifestyle content in the United States – and sold advertising platform Smart AdServer.

The group understood the need for a new network infrastructure delivered by a technology partner capable of overcoming the challenges associated with global connectivity. With a largely international audience, Aufeminin turned to a major player in this sector: BSO.

BSO’s expertise and knowledge was crucial for Aufeminin.com during the migration of its network.

THE SOLUTION

Following a full audit of Aufeminin’s existing IT infrastructure, BSO quickly identified the appropriate options for the company and designed a bespoke turnkey solution.

Utilising its long-running experience in supporting international companies and recognising Aufeminin’s need for a high-performance network, BSO’s team delivered three core technical functionalities for Aufeminin:

  • The use of BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) to interconnect Aufeminin’s platform to the core BSO network
  • Delivery of 2 optical fibre network ports – 1 Gigabit configured LACP – for optimised availability
  • The establishment of a 1 GB burstable symmetrical IP transit solution

An optimised network infrastructure that improves accessibility for all Aufeminin users.

Three months later, Aufeminin added hosted data storage to its services from BSO. Throughout the entire process Aufeminin has been supported by BSO’s renowned service delivery and assurance teams, which includes multilingual 24/7 support and dedicated account management.
